Who publishes this and who is accountable
Soft Play Glasgow is independently published. Editorial decisions are made by the Soft Play Glasgow desk and the publisher is accountable for everything on the site. No venue, operator, brand or advertiser has any say over what is published, and nobody outside the desk sees a guide before it goes live.
If something here is wrong, the contact page is the route. Every message is read by a person.
What this title covers, and what it refuses
The subject is indoor play in Glasgow and the west of Scotland treated as a parent's decision rather than a destination list: which formats suit which ages, what a session or a party actually includes, how access and sensory provision differ, and what to ask before you commit.
- We do not rate, rank or score venues, and we publish no "best of" list.
- We do not publish prices, because they change without notice and a stale price misleads.
- We do not describe a session, an accessibility feature or a party package unless the operator has confirmed it to us in writing.
- We publish no photographs of children.
- Nothing here is medical, safeguarding or legal advice. Where a question is one of those, we point at the body that answers it.
Sourcing and checking
Factual claims come from sources a reader can check for themselves: statutory guidance and inspection regimes, published standards for play equipment and supervision, local authority and transport information for the areas covered, and operator statements given to us in writing. Where a detail comes from an operator, that is what it is and the page treats it as a claim rather than as a finding.
Where we cannot verify something, we leave it out. An area guide that names fewer features than a brochure is doing its job.
Accuracy, revision and corrections
Pages carry a review date, and the date means a person checked the page against current information on that day. We do not move a date to look current. Operating details change often in this sector, so every guide tells you to confirm the specifics with the venue before you travel.
Corrections are made on the page itself and material ones are noted there. Anyone can report an error, including a venue we have described. A correction happens because it is correct, and for no other reason.
Funding and independence
Venue listings are free and are verified before publication. No venue can pay to be listed, to be described more warmly, or to have a competitor left out, and there is no advertising on this site. If a funding model is ever added it will be stated on this page first, it will be labelled wherever it appears, and it will never affect what a guide says.
Use of AI tools
AI tools are used in research and drafting. Every published page is reviewed by a person who is accountable for it, and no detail about a venue reaches publication because a model asserted it.
